evocative asia is a website and community dedicated to the exploration and development of music and musicians in and from Asia.
The website was started by Alex Trup. Originally from London, Alex has lived in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Taipei, where he currently resides. A Durham University graduate of East Asian languages and culture, Alex is the founder of
evocative records, an independent record label and music marketing company. The first artist being released on the label is Taiwanese singer-songwriter
Naomi Yohani.
